The Stryker reps make me wanna barf. The cheese/douche factor is off the charts.
You know Stryker well! As you know, their corporate culture is/was to hire ex-jocks and we had many former college athletes and a few who played in the NFL. I was there with their craniomaxillofacial division from 1996-2000 and the corporate culture was interesting. Lots of "bro's" and a hard-partying group. At a national sales meeting in Palm Springs in 1998 I got on the elevator one morning to go to a meeting and there was a product manager from another Stryker division onboard with two black eyes. Turned out he and other Stryker employees got into a brawl with another group in the hotel bar the night before. One guy remarked to me- "it's not a Stryker sales meeting unless there's a barroom brawl". Very good money to be made with Stryker but tons of pressure as far as device sales go.

Yeah they're the must cut throat of all I believe.
Would love to know your company but obviously not going to ask

I was at that meeting also. Couple of reps got fired for "adult activities" on the roof

up my alley.

I like our Stryker reps. They are pretty low key for the most part. Two are married, one has a kid. We did have a guy who met the "ex-jock" stereotype, former UVA football player, but nice guy. He recently changed divisions and they replaced him with a low key guy new to the industry. They definitely are the most outgoing and tend to throw the bigger events for us than other reps that come by.
Ever since our Olympus rep had a kid, he hasn't taken us out for an educational dinner .
