While I don't disagree with the idea of the bill being transparent, the story around it is also incredibly dishonest. Even if the GOP passes the bill in the Senate it will go to a Conference Committee with the House before passing. This is a LONG way from becoming law and the truth is there will be a lot of time to debate the particulars. This whole "The GOP is trying to pass a bill in that is going to take away your HC and no one will see it!" is just nonsense.

Complaints from the party that passed a healthcare bill that literally let the Director of Health & Human Services do whatever he wanted in regards to setting heath insurance standards complaining about this proposed bill ring extremely hollow.

Maybe, maybe not. The House pushed their's through pretty quickly, and the Senate is doing the same. If they can get it done before the July 4th holiday(McConnell's goal), they can hash it out in conference committee fairly quickly, assuming the bills aren't that far apart. The R's are DESPERATE for major tax reform, and need this bill passed first to do that. ACA repeal frees up a bunch of money they can allocate to tax cuts. Don't believe their desire to repeal ACA. Their end goal has always been major tax cuts and reform.
