He did make eye contact. That was the signal to let CPM know he wasn't ok. Who cares if Walker wanted the ball? Of course he wanted the ball, but if he wasn't 100% then it's Cpm's job to sit him.

So you believe CPM and Dunn watched Walker throw, saw he wasn't 100% and threw him anyway? That's plain ignorant.

If we threw Poche last night, we'd be in real trouble. So, while the decision would have been different had he known Walker wouldn't be ok, it's a good thing for us.

The diagnosis was a fatigued muscle. They thought there was a pretty strong chance he'd be fine. Unfortunately, that's not the case. I can't reasonably argue that he should have known differently.

I thought he made several mistakes handling the pitching last night. Going to Gilbert made a ton of sense. When Gilbert started showing signs of losing it, to me, the ball needed to go to Newman. Throwing Bush against 2 lefties was fine. Going to Peterson in a 3-0 game made no sense, IMO. It was too late by the time he brought in Newman.

Now, did that decision hurt us? No. Newman got lit up. So, it didn't make a real difference.

Anything short of a masterful Poche performance followed by a masterful Lange performance and we're going home.
