From what I understand, the spray helps some, but the main thing these services do is search hard around your house outside for any standing water and create a path for it to drain and not pool up any longer. That's from a buddy of mine that works for Orkin. That's how they fix the main issue.

For me, if I'm going to be outside in teh sweltering butthole part of a deep south summer, it's going to be by a strong fan. Pushes them skeeters away.

I've been spraying my yard with Bifen IT for about a year now. I do it every two months. It does an incredible job killing lawn insects, but I have yet to put a dent in the mosquitos. I can sit outside for three hours and never be bitten. My wife can sit outside for three minutes and be bitten five times

This year, we are having a problem with flies. I have no idea where these motherfrickers hide. We always try to pick up dog shite instantly. My dog can shite, and by the time I walk to pick it up there are 15 flies on it. It's amazingly disgusting.
