What are the success rates of these things? Is it all but guaranteed to attract bats?

We sit in our back yard and watch the bats fly around like crazy.

I used Mosquito Joe. Been about a week and a half so far so good. Coming back out next Thursday to spray again. Will do it thru the summer and into the fall. Nice to sit outside and not get bit up.

Only certain species of bats eat mosquitoes, and among those mosquitoes are a small part of their diet. They prefer moths and bigger insects.

The bat society folks, much like the man who sold bird houses did with purple martins, have promoted the idea that bats are a good control for mosquitoes. They may help a little, but more help is needed.

Couple things. Bats don't eat the amount of mosquitoes that people think. Recent study done on 100 bats resulted in finding 0 mosquitoes in their stomach. Mosquito Joe is a reputable company. I use Mosquito Authority and have had zero problems. I don't even have ants or wasps anymore. Is it because of what they spray? IDK but all I know is that once they started spraying I haven't seen a mosquito, ant, or wasp.

Talstar will kill just about any bug it lands on. People think that mosquitos only congregate in places that hold water, but this isn't the case. They will spend their days anywhere they can get a break from the heat. This includes all plants, under the siding of your home, wreaths your wife puts on the front door, under benches, etc. Spraying these areas with Talstar every couple of weeks is your best option to get rid of those frickers.
