i'll also point out that if "fascism" arrived in america in 1913 it predates every significant fascist political party and institution in history. it would also predate the first world war and the russian revolution, two events that significantly impacted fascist ideology. there were currents in european intellectual and cultural thought that presaged fascism, but no real organized political movements before then (and i wouldnt call syndicalism fascist). so kudos, usa! according to tx tiger we were fascist before fascism was invented!
