Pot growers gonna put big pharma out of business!

1) you have no idea about my education level
2) you have no idea about my knowledge base in relation to either MJ or Alzheimer's
3) And since I'm much older than you my assertions are based on the nightmarish lives of those I grew up with that were heavy pot consumers

I bet.
But we're cool with alcohol, huh?

Correct. But I do know that your education level on marijuana is minimal. That is evident from your posts. That's what I was getting at.

Anecdotal evidence is just about the least helpful evidence one can offer.

The troll is strong with this one.

So we should ban it.

That's why you shouldn't assume when you don't know someone's educational level or professional experience. You sound like the gay researcher who claimed to have found the gay gene. And all the gays pounced on it. He lied, based on selfish purposes
Marijuana destroys brain cells. The amount consumed, nor the age at which the result is irreversible is individual in nature. But is a proven fact. The active ingredient in marijuana is delta-9-tetrohydrocannabinol (THC). THC binds to and activates specific receptors in the brain, known as cannabinoid receptors. When these receptors are activated, THC interferes with the normal functioning of various areas of the brain, including the cerebellum, part of the brain responsible for balance, posture, and coordination of movement, and the hippocampus, which is involved with memory formation.
Memory is often selectively impaired in a dose-dependent fashion similar to alcohol. It can cause distorted perception, impaired coordination, difficulty in thinking and problem solving, and problems with learning and memory.

I'd argue that alcohol causes far more deaths and problems than weed.

Thanks for posting all of that. We should ban everything that causes similar adverse effects on humans.

What?

No, it doesn't.

None of this has to do with cell death. Also, none of what you posted coincides with your previous posts about Alzheimer's. All you've done is demonstrate your lack of understanding even further.
Nice copy and paste, by the way: LINK

Also, love how you cited "Vanderbilt University" rather than the author . The next line from your citation is more telling.

The immediate effects of marijuana intoxication on an individual are commonly accepted and are generally undisputed. However, the long-term effects have received a great deal of debate, as scientific research has yielded contradictory results.

Researchers found that the hippocampus, which is thought to regulate memory, was an average of 12% smaller among marijuana users, compared with people who didn't smoke pot. The amygdala, involved in emotion and memory, was an average of 7% smaller.
The study also suggests that long-term marijuana users were more likely to report symptoms associated with mental disorders

except by those that have selfish reasonings, like the gay doctor finding the gay gene

1. Correlation =/= causation.
2. One article posted on a WebMD post in 2008 LINK is hardly enough to take as quintessential. So much research has been done since then which tells a different story.

No. Its best to keep quiet on things you know nothing about.
It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it.

Are you certain you linked the correct story? When I click it says nothing about Alzheimer's and seems to cover the topic in a different thread.
This is ridiculously over the top and based upon nothing but your emotions. If we'd have just elected John Kerry, we would have already cured quadriplegia, right?
