re: Mounting TV to outdoor wall that is vinyl siding

I drilled mine straight through the siding into a stud. I'm not concerned if the siding has holes in it. I won't be taking the mount down even if I sell this house. So someone else can put their tv up without having to mount a bracket. If they don't want to then they can pull it down and fix the small holes

My plan is to build a box to mount the TV in and mount the box to studs with a 3/4" gap between the vinyl and the box. I have some 6" Hanger bolts for mounting.
