True, but it's not just that.
Think about how people's personalities and their values have changed since the days of snail mail to the days of text messaging? It's not only affected our expectations (profound affect) but the way we interact with people and perceive the things they do and say.
Not all of the changes are negative, some are definitely positive. However, society looks totally different today than it did in the 80's. People change as their relationship to others changes.
