re: Do you think social media has changed people (especially the youth)?

I think smartphones made a bigger impact than social media. Social media was around in pre-iPhone days (see Myspace). But it didn't make as big of an impact because it wasn't very convenient to update your profile or post something when you had to be sitting in front of a PC to do it. Smartphones is what made social media into what it is now because of how convenient it became to post or check social media 24/7 no matter where you're at.
