I can't disagree with Skip on pouring money into something that would NEVER return the investment money wise.

Would it be great to keep winning track championships like Henry did here? Sure but tell me how losing money on track and field is worth it

Ding, ding, winner! This was what it balled down to. LSU decided that winning track championships when it really came down to it was not important. Decided to sink that money into, softball and other smaller sports.

Losing money in track wasn't worth the reward of winning championships. Name the last time one of you watch NCAA track and field on tv or in person? A&M decided it was worth it for them to win championships at all cost. Guess they figured that was the only shot they had at winning a championship in something

So losing money without winning championships is better than losing money while winning championships??? Interesting. Does A&M profit from their T&F programs??

At the time LSU had one, ONE sport that made money. So by that logic, baseball, basketball and every other sport should just hire bottom of the barrel coaches and cut loose anyone that asked for a raise.
