I've literally watched him in an interview where he says he's a Libertarian, and has both conservative and liberal opinions depending on the issue and which side has the most sane view, but he's not a Libertarian? While I do t know what Maher considers himself now, I do know that I would never be silly enough to think Wikipedia is always correct.

I've seen him say the same but they were old interviews. Doesn't mean he hasn't changed his views a bit or who he sides with politically.

But he's not for small limited government, which is kind of required to be a libertarian. You're probably thinking back to interviews 20 years ago when he identified as such. It's been well over a decade since then. I'm a libertarian and disagree with half the shite he says.
