That sounds great! I know I'll need a few days to obtain the chosen book(s), whether I request them from the library or purchase them.
Since you have an interest in economics, get a Kindle app (free) for your mobile device and then pay less for your books for the rest of your life. Many economics books are also free or steeply discounted. As you read, it lets you highlight text to make it easier to retrieve later when it comes up in conversation. Another efficiency over paper versions is it let's you word search - making it easier to find words or phrases that you forgot to highlight or that other people reference. Yet one more benefit, is it crowdsources highlights - making it more likely to draw your attention to noteworthy passages when you drift into mental autopilot.
The most obvious benefit is it makes it more likely that you can read when the opportunity strikes without advance planning required to take the book with you.

Agree with everything you said. I was initially a very difficult convert, but have since used the hell out of my first generation Kindle. Ready to upgrade to one of the new ones. There's a psychological benefit, too, since every book's "page count" is just a scale between 0% and 100%. It's not nearly as intimidating to start a 700 page book on a Kindle as it is with the real book.
