Honestly, I have often wondered why you need duplicate weigh stations...typically located at the state lines with one on each side of the line?....

Maybe states have different weight limits?

On I-55 north of Hammond, Mississippi operates the one on the northbound lanes and Louisiana operates the one on the southbound lanes. LA northbound and MS southbound are closed.
