The vitriol and divide was in place back when nobody thought Trump would make it past a couple of debates, Trump simply took advantage of it. I don't care how progressive you are or how much you hate Trump, acting like he is the source of all this hostility is idiotic.

Fun fact: Maddow is a gun owner. Notice how gun control is never a topic on her show.

ETA: agree or disagree with her, she never dumbs things down and she is willing to spend more than 6 minutes on a subject. Sometimes she spends nearly her whole show talking about one issue.
