have to find something to put under the hip you're stretching ... doubt there's a better pose out there for hips ... assuming you have a thorough warmup and breathe ... push it to the edge ...
edit: saw your second post ... nmd ... still, make sure whatever you're using is high enough to allow you to maintain the pose for a long time so you can adjust and go deeper every 2 minutes or so ...
