I doubt they were hunting elephants.

Talked to a big game hunter once who described killing a water buffalo. Said he shot from about 20 yards away and had to shoot it several more times as it stood there with blood pouring out of its wounds. He seemed proud of this feat. I was grossed out. I don't get the attraction.
