Neal Stephenson - Fall; or, Dodge in Hell.
I'm about half way through and enjoying it much more than The Rise and Fall of DODO and at least as much as Stephenson's most recent 4-5 other books. It picks up where Reamde left off so I really would not recommend reading it as a stand alone. It falls back on Cryptonomicon somewhat as well so it's really a book for hard core Stephenson fans. It's speculative geek fiction guessing where technology (internet and artificial intelligence especially) and society are headed, with a good bit of social satire thrown in. The reviews are mixed at best but I'm digging it so far.
