Actually, the solution is they have until the end of the year to get the frick out.
Any illegal caught in the USA after that will be IMMEDIATELY deported and will NEVER qualify for any legal status of Any kind in the USA in the future. If caught again, immediate imprisonment.
There's your notice and your due process. Now get the frick out.

1. NO MORE ANCHOR BABIES
2. Temporary work visas for migrants picking crops. After the crop season you go back.
3. Any employer knowingly hiring an illegal. $50,000 fine per illegal per hour worked. ENFORCE IT! Put three or four companies out of business as examples and the others will get in compliance really quick.
4. Illegal and get caught.
First offense: Free ride back home.
Second offense: Three years jail where you will work 6 days per week on rebuilding our infrastructure.
Third offense: Ten years same as above.
Fourth offense: Life, or until you are too old and crippled to work. Then you get dumped at the border.
5. Existing illegals can turn themselves in and be voluntarily deported. Anchor babies must return with their parents. You will then be allowed to get in line and apply for citizenship the legal way.
6. Border security: Walls, guns, land mines, or crocodiles dumped into the Rio Grande. WHATEVER THE HELL IT TAKES!
