The negative impact of the VA alone should be enough reason to think this is stupid.
This is only going to result in shittier public employees or higher salaries.
If they want to cut 501(c)(3)s from the program I would be ok with that.

10 years is a pretty high hurdle. I wonder how many actually fulfill the obligation and take advantage of it.
My friend that is a dentist only had to complete 2 or 3 years I think.
