Same. My dad was an exceptionally good athlete in his day, and except for one of my coaches in Dixie Youth as an 11 year old who played football at LSU back in the 70's, there's no doubt he knew more about the sports I was playing than any of my coaches, who were mostly just well meaning dads. Never once did he say a word, or listen to any of my bullshite if I felt the need to complain to him about what some coach did or did not do.

The daughter of our high school football coach is on my softball team. He has been as quiet as a church mouse as practice. It's like he gets it.
