Bigred,
While on a prairie dog hunt last fall I had the pleasure of shooting the guide's favorite pd rifle, a Mossberg MVP. It's the same action as the Patriot, but has a different stock and a heavier/fluted barrel. His was a very good gun. It wasn't as pretty, refined or smooth operating as some other guns, but it sure shot well.
