re: Older black women who treat you like one of their children

If you go to a black family's house (for the most party, not every black family), they will treat you like family. I go visit an older black guy from time to time and when I go over, his wife makes sure I get something to eat, etc, etc.

I am not sure if it is a southern thing or not, more than likely, but I know what you mean.
