I've had my Google Home since Christmas and while good it's certainly not flawless.

o It has locked up three or four times and I've had to cycle power.

o Several times I've had to repeat commands after GH has acknowledged receiving but then can't execute them.

o A few days ago when it starting playing music the volume was much higher than where I listen.

I own a Dot and use it daily. Listen to the news, then the weather, then listen to local sports on 104.5 ESPN Radio on Tune In.

I have Amazon Prime so I stream music from there, TuneIn Radio, and Amazon Music's Premium Service. I can also easily stream Apple Music through the Dot by simply saying, "Alexa, connect my phone," and then just playing music using the phone or other device I'm streaming Apple Music on.

I control my home security system and I bought a WiFi Thermostat that's Alexa enabled though I haven't taken the time to install it just yet.

It cost me less than $30 with a coupon I got during the Holidays for buying it on Prime.

The price point and what I use it for make Google Home a joke in comparison. I understand that it's not for many people. But there is no killer app/feature/use case compared to Amazon Dot that would compel me to pay almost triple the cost of what I have currently.

It also leverages Prime, which Google has zero ability to utilize or tap into. I understand Google is awesome, but Amazon/AWS/Alexa had a biiiiig head start and a staggering amount of data already. People forget how massive AWS is.
