I love how Nichols plays along and gets it. I enjoy any guest that gets it. I agree on the hockey guy as well. I will be happy when the NHL playoffs are over. I can get a laugh at PFT talking about the Caps, but I usually don't get many of the jokes made with hockey guests.
PMT still goes to the top of my playlist whenever it is available every MWF, but I have started to notice that they are becoming what they make fun of with Mike and Mike. Ads are now slipped into the middle of the podcasts during segments and a lot of the conversation in the first part revolves around their favorite teams.

They've been talking about that over the past few weeks. I think they were having problems with sponsors because of how predictable they were with commercials, and everyone knew exactly when to skip and how long to skip over them. Just mash that 15 second button.
They have talked about it a few times and said they pretty much have to do it this way.
They also make no bones about the depths they will sink to sell out, so...

I know, and I don't blame them for doing it. But one of the main jokes of their Mike & Mike Fair Play segments is all the ads that Greenburg says in the middle of their broadcasts.

The transition into an ad they read off a script in the middle of the show is a little different than the Mike and Mike presented by Progressive Subway Fresh Take Pennzoil Hotline.

I prefer how they do ads now. I used to just skip them but it was hard to stop it at the right spot. Now I have to listen to the ads, but they seem to go by pretty quickly.
