I think this is more related to our screw ups in the past with drafting...and with this FO who could blame them. I truly believe this was the only level headed decision to make. If Lattimore pans out to his hype he can cut the playing field in half where a QB can throw.

I think the majority are hopeful and hoping for the best, but at the same time, fully expecting to find out like in the past, that our star player we invest in (in this case lattimore) may get hurt all the time and cant play. this is the mindset of why people are very reserved in their optimism until such a time as he actually can stay healthy all season.

it is our past history taking players with talent but cant stay healthy that cause a "well lets wait and see if he stays healthy" attitude before we believe the hype about their skill because talent means nothing if you are always hurt.

the truth is, most of you guys are too easily dismissing the injury concerns because you only want to focus on the talent side, in reality, there is no way any of us can know if he will be fine and can stay healthy all year or if he will constantly be in rehab.

as fans we all love our saints and hope everything they did gets great returns with no busts but only time will tell.

a truly objective person "should" have trepidation about his injury history and not be so dismissive of it until such a time as he shows he can go a full NFL season without issues
