During the entire debate of race in the late 1980's after the Jimmy the Greek debacle...they had a round-table discussion about race and sports with Brent Musburger (I think) and a bunch of guests like Harry Edwards, etc. talking about fast-twitch muscles and all these "myths" of genetic differences.
So they had this black track coach from Stanford and he said he would find a white Carl Lewis and put to bed this notion that black athletes have it easier genetically in sports.
Never happened.

I've never been able to figure out how black people can be so good at basketball ... but so absolutely horrible at volleyball.
