My parents in NC have ATMC and their quality of service is outstanding compared to AT&T service that isn't fiber.

NN allows other ISPs into new markets and gives upstarts a chance. More competition forces other ISPs to improve their service, offer decent prices and have no data caps.

The quality of internet with its price point in the US is bad compared to the rest of the first world. O also data caps, what kind of freedom lets someone limit how much internet you can use?

Yeah companies are laying fiber in a few places where they have to, but the chances of me getting fiber any time soon is basically zilch

There arse needs to get to Columbia. Fiber all over the damn place in Charleston, but here in the freaking state capital we don't have shite.
