Youth ATV advice needed

A couple years ago I was given an Xtreme ATV 90. It didn't run too good, but it was free. So I figured what the heck. Thought I'd work on it when I had time and eventually my son would be able to ride it when he got older.
Well, it's been sitting up in my shop the last couple of years and I haven't done any work to it. Now I can't even get it to start. It's kind of a POS. Made in China or Taiwan I'm sure. Probably needs to be rewired, I'm sure it needs a new carb, and some other parts I'm sure.
How much would be a reasonable price to ask for this thing? I don't have any pictures of it. I could take some when I get home from work. I found this pic on the interwebs, and it looks like the exact same one.

Pull your carb. Dissasemble it as much as possible. Take a container with a lid large enough to hold your carb, stick the carb in there fill it with 2 parts pinesol to one part water until the carb is covered. Agitate it a bit to remove air bubble. Just let it sit for at least a day. 2-3-4 is fine too. Hose off parts dry them out and put it back together. See if she runs again after that.

I'm not really interested in getting it to run again. I just want to get rid of it. It's taking up much needed room in my shop. My son is 3. He wouldn't be able to ride the thing for several more years anyway. I'm not opposed to just giving it away. But was wondering if it was worth anything.

Well, you got it for free, so why not give it away for free?

I'm sure it's worth something. But the chance of selling and profit margin is greatly increased if you take ~1 hour of your time and $10 in pinesol and to the above and it fires up and runs properly. I think you could easily add $200-300 to the price if it's running.

You can give it to me

I'll see if I can find some time to do that. I've tried looking up the model number and vin to find parts for it a while back.... yeah, that was a waste of time.

If I can't get it to run, that's what I'll do. If I invest time and money to get it running, different story.

Did you pull the model# off of the frame? Alot of those will say something completely different on the plastics. It's probably a polaris 90 copy.
Parts are generally plentiful and cheap on ebay once you figure out what it is.
I paid $200 for one running a few years ago. I thought it was a good price. It grenaded the piston a few months later so I have another 150 in it now, for a new cylinder and piston but it's ran fine ever since.

Yes. The amount of different parts that came up was confusing. I really need to just set aside some time to mess with it. It's difficult with my work schedule, but I'll find some time.
When I first got it, it ran. But it kinda ran like the timing was off. I'll have to see if I can at least get it to crank up and then go from there.

Complete new carbs are $12 off the bay and then fuel line/filter would be $10. A running kids ATV is worth a whole lot more

The carb on mine has an electric choke. I'm starting to wonder if that could be my issue.

Its still only going to be $20 or so. Whats the symptoms?

Well, when it was running it would kinda bog down and backfire a lot of the top end. Might just need a carb adjustment. Sounds like classic lean fuel/air mix. Like I said. I never really got to mess with it.
