He certainly looks like he's on them there.
Steroids doesn't make a skinny kid look like what McGuire turned into. He was always a fairly big muscular guy. Every nfl running back has tree trunk thighs. Doeant mean they are all juicing.

McGwire used.
But yeah...he was always big. And when you are tall and big young...you burn off fat so easily.
You will just get bigger as you get older.
But that's the problem in the 80's, we reduced PEDs to just getting big.
There's so much more on how PEDs help you in physical endeavors.
