Brief hijack OP.
Mexican Stratocasters. Are there any years/periods to avoid? Or are they all the same? Just find one that feels right in the hand and pay a guy like you to change out crap hardware?

Again on the Yairi I picked up. It was used, but not priced as a steal. They knew it's value. Did sound GREAT compared to a standard Alvarez. And a smoker owned it too. I always check that with a sniff before buying. There is nothing getting smoke smell out of an acoustic guitar.
