i just looked up the amazon audio book of IT, and it's 45 hours long at $32.
I bought it and have been listening to it for about 20 minutes a day or so--mainly on my drive to work. I don't think I could read the book again, so I choose to have it read to me.
I bought the book the day it came out in 1986 and had read it all within a week or two (that's fast for me). Haven't read it since. I don't remember much about it so far. I think it's the droning on with exposition that everyone is talking about. All the kids have just started to realize they are all seeing Pennywise in all his various forms, so it's starting to get going.
After all these years, I'm still in love with Beverly Marsh. I don't care if she's poor white trash and a ho. Frannie from "The Stand" can take a flying leap. Annette O'Toole was perfect casting for the mini-series.
As far as King books go here's my top three:
1.) It
2.) 11/22/63
3.) The Stand
