Rivenspire is a pretty damn depressing zone.
Reezal-jul is nuts .
I feel like everything bad in this game that happens to NPCs is a direct result of a) wanting an ancient relic of sorts, which always leads to doom, or b) trusting a Daedra, which always leads to even worse doom.
ZOS does manage to make every relic and daedra interesting, at least

Have you done the Mage Guild quest line yet? If not I highly recommend. Sheogorath is awesome
