While I don't think we need a full time coach to just coach kickers, it's much harder than "kick it through the goalposts." There is a lot of technique involved between placement of plant foot, hip and shoulder movement, leg motion and follow through.

It doesn't take a coach watching you kick everyday to help with that. You could watch a fricken youtube video and practice that. I mean you're just kicking a ball. You either know how to do it or you don't. If you can't figure out on your own why you're shanking everything to the right, then you're probably not cut out to be a kicker.

that is what consultants are for..
