Dems trying to steal it.
Ruthless bastards.
Reminds me of a scene from my favorite all-time film, Heaven Can Wait. Warren Beatty's character buys the Los Angeles Rams, because he wants to play quarterback. A reporter asks the bewildered former owner how it happened:
Reporter: How did Farnsworth manage to persuade you to sell the team?
Former Rams Owner: He asked me how much I wanted for my team, and I said 67 million.
Reporter: And?
Former Rams Owner: And he said, "Okay!"
Reporter: Wow!
Former Rams Owner: Ruthless bastard!
THAT joke doesn't hold up today, because $67 million for an NFL franchise would be a steal today. But in 1978, it was outrageous.
