That's the first Series I remember, and it broke my damn heart. I STILL hate that damn song.
The 80s really did have a great run of World Series, bookended by great ones in 79 and 91 just outside the decade. What was really cool was how many different teams won the title, so it never got to be a stale cast of characters.

Only one team (Dodgers) won it more than once, and at different ends of the decade too.
