I like marsh fishing, and grew up closer to Cocodrie, so I love it there. Have friends with camps in Grand Isle. If you fish offshore more, Grand Isle. If you fish inshore more with a few trips offshore here and there, Cocodrie.

Uncle just built in the Coco Marina's new section and to be honest, he did a bit of the work himself and it came out to be reasonable. In the summer, you can walk to the Marina and get drinks and pretty good food. That's the life to me. Cousin has a camp further up the bayou that was great until they built the levee. It's still fine, but it would definitely be nicer if they had a lock closer to his boat slip. If I were buying there, that would be a priority. You have to leave 15 minutes earlier just to idle the bayou now.

Is Cocodrie that much better for marsh fishing? I go to GI/Fourchon area 3 or 4 times a year and we always catch them pretty good. IF Cocodrie is better than that I need to hit it up asap.
