re: Most Mentally "F*ck-You" Sport/Position... Golf, Kicker, Closer, Tennis, or Boxing/MMA

I've never been more mentally drained than after a 3 hour tennis match in high school. I couldn't imagine the pressure in a fifth set at a major.

one that's underrated mentally is being booked to be the losing wrestler at Wrestlemania... you have to put on the performance of a lifetime knowing that the other guy is going to have the moment and pin you or tap you out...

I was scared for Carl Edwards (relief pitcher for the Cubs, not driver) in game 7 vs the Indians, he looked like a kid on the mound and IDK who's mind wouldn't be racing when 1 pitch loses the WS.

Golf, because you're literally all by yourself with no help. No teammates to correct your mistakes like a closer or anything. Every step of the process is on you in golf.
Tennis for the win

Kicker would suck because it is literally your only job. No wonder they are head cases.

Yeah but the action happens so fast you just react instinctually. Golfers, kickers, closers have much more of a mental obstacle bc all eyes are on them while they're just setting up to make a play.

There's a ton of points in tennis. Idk how you can compare that to the single moment feeling of a closer isolated on a mound when 1 pitch can lose the game, or a kicker lining up for a game-winning kick, or the difficulty and dramatics of any golf shot in a major.
Yes, tennis requires a lot of mental fortitude but during a rally the action pace dictates that there's not as much mental tension in between shots like the 3 others.
