Nor is the answer to leave the ME and allow Russia to become the dominate dog! You will not like the break up of the USA.
Russia waded in Afghanistan in 1980ish no? They saw what we are seeing. I can't imagine they'd make the same mistake. Of course we don't learn either sometimes.

Oil isn't the issue for the USA anymore. It is for Europe and Russia and China. Would you like to see those countries unite against the USA?
this is not 1915 or 1940 anymore. Nuclear weapons make this a non issue I believe. Nukes make a world war an impossibility I believe, or at least I hope.

What Ally do you think we will have in 20 years should we pull out and leave? You are not following the results of that.
European nations will be our allies still, and if they request help, we help. Within European borders. Eventually tolerance for Muslims will be lost by all. I DON"T KNOW how that plays out. Only so many cars can be driven into crowds before there is backlash. Muslims are like locusts. they destroy whatever they touch. Until Muslims within their own religion start feeling shame for what their fringes have become and continue to do, nothing will change. Instead they seem to feel indifferent and at times point fingers at those who get pissed about them and scream "bigot."

1- Remove ourselves and deal with the results... none that you will like.

2- Remain. Fight... either large scale or smaller.
At least we are accepting that now.

To a degree, yes.

Accepting the form of Globalism that the Progressives want? No. Accept the truths about the out come should we pullout of the ME in our current environment? Yes.
The less dependent Europe is on the ME, the better we can say "F it"... "peace out".
We are not there yet.
It's the coal industry. We should NOT regulate them to kill the jobs, but they will phase out over time. Let those people work and adapt. Let Europe and the US make the strides, and the, we can leave.

Nice write-up, now I'm still waiting on the proof.
Hey, if they can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the chemical weapons came from Syria Military I'm all in for whatever it takes.
So far it has just been media hacks from both sides--America and Russia--spouting off drivel like biatches they are.
I have no freaking idea who is using Chemical Weapons and why. Neither do any of you here on this forum. We weren't there and we will hear stories from both sides of the conflict say it was the other.
What we go on is what we already know. And, that is this:
Russia wants Assad to say in power as it is vital to their survival right now. If Assad falls and the Western Cartel gets their pipeline through Syria into Europe, Europe is free of Russia energy hegemony on that mass of a continent.
Western interests--American, NATO, and Europe--wish Assad's ouster as the access to cheaper energy will help the burden of an overburdened financial system laden with debt. Cheaper energy alleviates a lot of ills.
So, this is obviously about resources. Most all wars have always been about resources and power over those resources--Power.
I don't have any idea who is telling the truth and truly don't care anymore. If they want to fight, then fight and get it over with. Don't drag this out as we have done with the Korea's since the 1950's. Finish it and let's focus on our nation and rebuilding it.

Agree with almost all of what you said but this...
So we finish it like what? Iraq? Iran? Afghanistan? Libya? Egypt? Lebanon?
Just wondering what US assets are you committing to "finish it"?

It seems that y'all want to take USSR's role in that situation.

A globalist is a globalist. Keep supporting our involvement in the Iraqs and Afghanistans of the world. Y'all never learn anything from our past incursions.
Hooray more regime changes. Hooray more instability.
And finally, counter to all the BS many people on here spew, hooray more refugees moving to Europe.

That's the overall issue. There is no exit strategy. We should still be in Iraq. PEACEFULLY like with Japan, and Germany.
We should also be paid for being there. That's one reason I voted for Trump.

Not at all. Why won't you finish the thought of an USAless ME and the over all impact in the world with a Russia lead ME.

quote:So, the gas/chems propaganda began at the same time we invaded the area for the purpose of regime change.
March, 2013, regime forces launched several airstrikes on the town of Khan al-Assal.
21st of August, 2013, regime forces have again bombarded the eastern Ghouta of Damascus
23rd of December, 2013, as the latter has bombarded with missiles loaded with BZ gas the city of Homs
29th of April, 2014, through using Sarin gas...on the town of Saraqib
In the same month in 2014, regime helicopters have dropped barrel bombs containing Chlorine poisonous gas on the city of Kafrzeita
9th of February, 2016, regime forces have bombarded the city of Arbin in Damascus countryside using bombs loaded with toxic gas that caused suffocations among civilians.
Assad regime has bombarded the city of Saraqib again in 2016 using barrel bombs loaded with poisonous gases which led to the injury of 30 civilians.
On the 10th of August, 2016, regime's helicopters bombarded with barrel bombs loaded with Chlorine the neighborhood of al-Zaydiah in Aleppo
12th of December, 2016, the same warplanes bombarded the region of Uqayribat
March, 2017, The city of al-Latamihan in the countryside of Hama
I'm sure it's all just one big coincidence.

Very good question.
I'm not for ousting Assad, because what will take his place will likely be the same. Like the old 'Who' song says, "Out with the old Boss in with the New; same as the old boss".
They will put a Western puppet in their to do their bidding I'd suppose. Another snake and pretend their is democracy. Some nut cult will form like ISIS in the vacuum that will ensue.
If the government is friendly to the US though I could careless about what happens in their country.
I voted for the guy who said we would start seeing the spoils of spending out 'dime' on these adventures abroad--i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc... We want to see the spoils instead of more debt. What f'ing country dominates the world and actually fires up the credit card instead of taking their spoils and paying down our debt?? WTF?

I don't care what they have as long as they do business with us. If they don't wish to do business with us they are stupid and not worth my time. If they threaten us or I get wind they are wanting to threaten us I send a rocket through the leaders front door as Reagan did with Gaddahfi.
I'm not wasting resources keeping dictators in line. If I must take that road I'm taking their resources and giving it to the people of my lands to use for growth.
Instead we have an elite that says they are doing all these things for "the people and protection", when they are actually doing it so they can pad their own pockets while our credit card keeps getting pushed into the trillions. These figs don't have to pay for all these upheavals. WE DO.

MButterfly,
The intelligence community concluded that the Syrians were not responsible for the Ghouta attack. The Sarin used in that attack wasn't military grade, and did not resemble the samples we had on record.

Multiple reporters on the ground in Syria have stated that the rebels have chemical weapon 'housing' sites in cities. That the bombing from the Syrian Government blows the factories up and then the fallout ensues.
Who knows what the truth is. Why would the rebels need chemical weapons at all?? For what end?? Makes no sense .
Makes more sense that Assad would use them to quicken the destruction of the terrorists within cities.

This is true.
Recent discoveries and extraction methods have shown that we may have the largest oil reserves in the world. Our shale reserves hold an estimated 2 Trillion barrels of oil.
