29th of April, 2014, through using Sarin gas...on the town of Saraqib

And this is America's responsibility, how?

The same way WWI and WWII was - if you're making the argument of "it's over there and we're over here".

Who said it was our responsibility? In this topic, we are talking about him gassing his people.
It's not some myth.

Yes... but way too late

No, I surmised the OP was referring to why we are over there halfway around the globe when we are far removed, geographically, from the issue. I insinuated he could use that same argument for the world wars.

The fact is, it does directly involve the US.

He's a horrendous bastard. But replacing him with 4 horrendous bastards who hate each other is not the answer.
Another horrendous bastard NK's dear leader 2.0. But NK has ZERO oil to my knowledge. So him starving his people and blowing up his "lieutenants" with fricking artillery goes on overlooked.
I have no issues with an airstrike or Naval strike, but boots on the ground? Syria COULD possibly be Vietnamish??? A real army, real cities, real infrastructure. Like breaking up a fight with your nasty white trash neighbor couple. The minute you put hands on one of them YOU are the a-hole and everybody fights you.
We just need to leave and protect ourselves and allies. Our armed forces are probably better trained and more seasoned than they have ever been in our history. They could probably fix some shite if used appropriately. Instead we have them wandering in the desert and mountains and huts waiting to be blown up by IEDs or clipped by snipers.
GET THEM OUT!!!

Nor is the answer to leave the ME and allow Russia to become the dominate dog! You will not like the break up of the USA.

Oil isn't the issue for the USA anymore. It is for Europe and Russia and China. Would you like to see those countries unite against the USA?

Again, this will have to be solved. Either Allow Russia the whole of the ME or be involved.

What Ally do you think we will have in 20 years should we pull out and leave? You are not following the results of that.
1- Europe is already in a state of civil war due to the changing dynamics of the people. You are witnessing it now. The winner? Based on what we are seeing.... ME peoples moving in.
Once that happens, they will side with whom?
Let's say that the ME decent people do not win... Who is Europe going to side with when oil is an issue and the US has no involvement in the ME?
A Russian influenced ME.
2- The US, despite the strong belief, is capable of falling. If you retreat from the world, in particular, you lose influence. See the past 8 years and what has happened with our policies.

This most recent "attack" makes no sense. Most likely done by us or our proxy.

We bombed Syria for "humanitarian" reasons. So let's cut the shite about fighting them "over there instead of over here." The only people in Syria that want to kill Americans "over here" are trying to topple Assad so they can implement God's will on everyone.

Not likely Assad did this attack. It suits the Deep State agenda perfectly. Things were starting to settle down. Can't have that.

It certainly does. As pointed out, the US did nothing in the past, and they needed to know what the new president would do, how he would react.

Nothing was settling down. You are living in a fantasy if you think that. You could easily look up reports from the fighting if you wanted to.

Ok, good.
So, if they do it again, we invade and regime change, right? Or do we just fire a few more missiles at another target?
Hell, it sounds like all the politicians are clamoring for regime change right now anyway.
Sounds like fun. Let's do it.
I'm all for our new "America First" game plan. It really looks different from our old plan.

Once you look at the whole picture, you get a glimpse of what's happening. We are battling for influence.
You literally have 2 options.
1- Remove ourselves and deal with the results... none that you will like.
2- Remain. Fight... either large scale or smaller.
Which path would you like to explore first?
