Ping is whats most important. Millisecond response between you and game server.
With that said, 5-15mbps could be fine.
If you use the same connection, but just downgrade the DL speed, you should be fine.

I try to google this stuff and I spend 30 minutes with people spewing nonsense.
Basically, If I get the 5-15mbps, how do I control the DL? (which btw Idk wtf DL stands for :embaressedface:)
Edit: I also mildly understand ping. If I get a better mbps, does that guarantee that my ping is better?
I seriously appreciate everyones help. I will vogue for you all getting public service hours to assist your taxes if you help me. Technology is my kryptonite.
