papaphobia is the word that is used. You can look it up. Not exactly an airtight etymology, but that's the word used when there's a word to be used.

I got banned for my material in this thread (I'm sure you'll agree that it was way out of line); checked this morning, and I'm unbanned.

People who see abortions are more likely to be against abortions.

No such thing

No such thing as homophobia either

The liberals just create words designed to vilify people who disagree with them

So when the MSM posts fear mongering articles about Islam, they are simply informing us?

But when the MSM posts fear mongering articles about trump, they are simply delivering "fake news"?

Why do we give the MSM credit with Islam but not Trump?

The logic of the low IQ everyone

pho·bi·a1 ['fobe?] NOUN an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something: "he had a phobia about being under water" · [more] synonyms: fear · irrational fear · obsessive fear · dread · horror · [more]

If you consider the harm done to innocents over just the last few decades I think phobia is misused in the case. Rational fear would be more accurate.

Just like it isn't a phobia to walk through mike the tigers cage.

We have protective reflexes and instincts for a reason.

Spot on. We see and read about the martyrs of Islam killing, blowing up and beheading people across the globe and it is us, the casual news observer with the phobia and issue. A rational and reasonable fear of Islam is appropriate.

Why do you think that's true for Americans in this country?

In the cases of Islamic violence in the US the families are usually reported as hard working normal citizens. I have no reason to believe otherwise. The US terrorist are reported to be isolated radicals. Thus an isolated terrorist could be any Muslim any place any time. I think that is the goal of terrorism. How can one not rationally be cautious.

The quickest path to disliking Islam and Muslims is to read the writing of Muhammad and Muslims.

Frankly the media barely scratches the surface.

When I was a young man who was questioning the religion I was raised with I chose to read the Bible front to back because I realized I had never actually done that. Upon completion I was an atheist

During the original Gulf War I recognize that basically everything I knew about Islam was told to me by non-muslims

So I began to read what Muslims had to say. Eventually I landed on the Quran. Upon completion I realized that I should view anyone who reads that stuff and agrees with it in much the same way I would View someone who reads mine Kampf and agrees with it.
