Cajun restaurants in Dallas?

Been in Dallas for a few years now and haven't been actively seeking great Louisiana type restaurants because I go back to LA a lot but does anyone know of any legit places? I like the atmosphere of Dodies for game days but their food is not top notch.

Half Shales in Snider Plaza by SMU is about the best I've found. It's pretty good but not on par with good places in South La.

With the obvious caveat that you very, very rarely find elite Cajun food outside deep south Louisiana/New Orleans, Alligator Café in East Dallas is decent. Amberjax in Trinity Groves is also good. I'd say it's on par with the above average fare you'll find in Baton Rouge or Shreveport. That being said, there are outstanding places in Dallas to get oysters and other shellfish/seafood. Check out Montlake Cut and S&D Oyster for that stuff.

It's not in Dallas but Boo Ray's in Fort Worth near Eagle Mountain Lake rivals any Cajun food I've ever had. It will be worth your drive.

I don't know that you'll find what a person from LA would consider "top notch" Cajun food in a Dallas restaurant. All of them seem to be bad-mediocre from my experience.
You're much better off making the food at home. Is there any particular dish your looking to get or just Cajun food in general?
