Not they are actually worse than most monopolies. They get all the upside and minimal regulation.
Rolling back regs at the federal level while competition stifling rules in place at the local/state level is g onna be a disaster.

It's cute how conservatives including the Freedom caucus will make a big stink about net neutrality while blatantly ignoring that big telecoms have bought off state legislators and municipal officials to still preserve their monopoly as best as they can regardless of whatever action the feds take.
Not even people Justin Amash and Rand Paul acknowledge this and they're as anti corruption as it gets.
