Out of wedlock, I can see considering that trashy. Divorces happen, though. Maybe the guy ended up being a dick or a loser and you have a shot with a cool chick. It would take a lot for me to raise another guy's kid (I know that's beta), but there are one or two women I know that I would do it with.

She and her husband were very excited when they found out she was pregnant in 2008, but his unit was being prepared to deploy to Afghanistan. He was able to secure leave home when the child was born but soon had to report back to duty. 3 months later, 2 men in their dress uniforms regret to inform her that her husband was killed as his Marine unit pushed into Helmand Province.

It's been a tough 9 years for her and her child, but she loves her kid and she think she's ready to maybe to meet someone again. Then she bumps into GoldenNugget on the street and he calls her a whore for being a single mother.

A general good rule of thumb to live by is, "Don't be a dick". Then you don't have to live your life in fear of the Mexicans that you pissed off in your apartment complex because you were a dick towards them. It applies in other situations, too.
