pretty sure a lawyer can't draft or notarize a will where he is a beneficiary, unless close family. This should be easily overturned.

News at 6 on WAFB has an update on this situation.

As part of the hook, it stated that city leaders are calling for her resignation... Gravy cannot be happy about this.

I'm pretty sure you cannot be a beneficiary in a will and be the notary, unless they had their signatures notarized by someone else after writing themselves in.

after reading the story, advocate i would say investigate the mental competence of the lady. If she really wanted her estate in trust for the grandkids, allow a faamily member to run the trust for free. Even a bank would not charge $500 per month, which is BS. The COA woman is going to burn up the trust paying herself. You can reform the will and still carry out the decedent's wishes. If you revoke the will, her kids get everything, to the exclusion of the grandkids or neices, which is not the right answer if the testatrix knew what she was doing.
