::::::: SLEEP :::::::
They put us up in Club Quarters (Wall Street). It's proximity was outstanding, close to everything. I also came home with a newfound appreciation for how my dog must feel staying in her kennel while I'm at work. The rooms were VERY small and from what I understand about this hotel chain, this is quite common. One of my co-workers has stayed here before and brought his Apple TV and hooked it up to their TVs....see pics below.
::::::: EAT :::::::
I was in sessions all day, so the only meal I ate out was for dinner. Here are some places we ate:
Arrived on Monday lunchtime and was literally running to the office from the hotel, and quickly stopped in at Poké Green on Pearl Street (in the downtown Financial District). Apparently poké shops are popping up like crazy around NYC. I got the salmon bowl with a spicy yuzu sauce...it was kick arse.
For Monday dinner, I ate at some random Thai place that smelled awesome as I walked by so I gave it a shot. It delivered bigtime. Here are some pics of the restaurant and the menu.
I had the shrimp Tom Yum for an appetizer and the Prad ka Prow (basil beef) for my entree. They brought me a free dessert because "they could tell I was from out of town"...it was sweet coconut rice dish that was baked. Tasty.
For Tuesday Dinner, we ate at EATALY....It felt like a combo fish/meat market at the front and restaurants at the back. Here are the "front" areas where you can casually chat and dine, shop, etc. You walk past where they age their meats and cheeses, it is pretty interesting to see them all.
At the very back is an Italian restaurant that was a total cougar den. Here are some pics of the inside, the menu, and what we ate:
Suckling Pig - KICK arse!!
Some pasta dish (blah)
Our last night we are dinner at a Korean place called Hangawi. You leave your shoes at the door and sit on pillows to eat, it was a very cool experience. Everything we tried was awesome and just had the waiter bring our several of his favorite dishes, so I can't tell you what we actually ordered.
I did have some ginger tea was was awesome.
I will post more pics later that I forgot to upload....
::::::: SEE :::::::
Trinity Church where Alexandar Hamilton is buried
WTC Memorial (didn't take too many pics). People put roses into the engraved names when they come to visit a friend/relative who died.
::::::: DRINK ::::::
I'm on the wagon so I don't have anything to offer....

Eataly is legit. I've been to that one you went to in Flat Irons a few times.
One finally opened here in Boston a few months back. Love going there.
