I thought Iceland was green and Greenland was ice.

Iceland is a mix. There are farming communities in many areas on the coast but I wouldn't say it's "green". The temperature still rarely gets to 60F but the long days in the summer help the growing season. There are also highlands that are covered in glaciers. It's a mixed bag. I've never been to Greenland but I know most of it is covered in permafrost.

Iceland can be green, but not during winter. Greenland is always ice.
