Wait, you have a gun that you know hits high and you continue to shoot it as though it doesn't hit high?
OK...
Me on a shotgun or even a fixed sight handgun I would adjust. For example my XDm hits a little low and left (no it not to little/to much thumb or anything else) I adjust my aim point accordingly.
