I'm sure I'll get a lot more negative feedback in this thread, but I've said this before to numerous upvotes:

Gausman in the rain was the biggest pussy shite in the history of LSU baseball. Mestepey should have been allowed to kick him in the dick. Anti-bulldog
You get negative feedback because you are a fricking idiot.

Gausman saved game 1 on Saturday morning, then came out after an hour and pitched 7 innings giving up only 6 hits and 3 runs. We lost 3-1

So yes, you are a complete dumbass for putting any of that on Gausman.

We scored 1 run on 3 hits in a complete game gem by some rag arm named Tyler Johnson

Mainieri goes on these little kicks. Gets beat by an athletic outfield against the Brook, recruits an entire outfield of legs first guys.

It's just kind of his thing.

Again, our hitting shite the bed. But Gausman being put out there to save the game, wait 40 minutes, then start the next game is one of PM's all-time excellent (re: sarcasm) decisions with the pitching staff.

I can go back and watch all three games to point them out but I don't have the time at the moment.

It got to the point where the casual fair weather fans sitting around me started pointing it out...and when that happens you know it's bad.

It also got so bad that Mainieri started two freshmen in Stevenson and Laird during 2013 despite Stevenson being a major liability at the back end of that lineup.

EDIT: It didn't lose us the series but there were a ton of balls that they couldn't get to because of lack of speed/athleticism.

Watson Breaux and Deichmann can throw kinda. Duplantis and Jordan are a joke though.

Are you being serious or sarcastic? Gausman retired the side in order in his half the 12th and we won the game

He then gave us 7 innings of 6 hit ball while only giving up 3 runs. That should have been plenty to win against Stony Brooks number 2 pitcher.

The move Maineri made from a pitching standpoint worked.

I don't think they all get to the wall, but most of them would have been hits anyway. We're all aware of the reaction to that outfield.

Go watch the third inning when it was raining and he was melting down, not the other 6 when the weather was more favorable. He gets it put on him because the adversity in the third inning melted him.

The Mary-arm era is over. I'm talking about the Rhymes, Stevenson, Laird/McMuffin outfields.

He gave up 3 runs in 7 innings(2.77 ERA) to a good lineup after saving a game 40 minutes before.

That is a good performance and showed fortitude to save a game when he never had in his entire career

You are being a complete dumbass here. Typical rantard who will always put a loss on the most high profile player

You can be rude all you want, doesn't change the fact that he was a huge pussy with terrible body language uncorking wild pitches and looking like he shite his pants in the third because it was wet. Sorry. Go watch it. Disgraceful shite.

Also, three runs in 2012 was pretty rough. Post-bat change pre-ball change. Scoring wasn't all that easy. Not insurmountable, but it isn't today's three run lead either (or pre-2011 for that matter).

You are picking a piece of a pitching performance to blame a player, instead of the complete bed shitting of the hitting

Are you 14?

Their #2 "rag arm" wasn't a slouch either.

Qb goes 24/32 315 yards 3 tds and 1int

He threw the interception in the rain and looked like he lost control during the rain

Team loses 45-41.

Rick blames qb and not defense

That is what you are doing rick

Don't be that rantard

If anything, I still wonder how that offense in that superegional could disappear like that against 88 MPH pitching.

I didn't blame him solely for the loss. I said it was a pussy performance. One of the biggest I've ever seen. You haven't spoken to that at all. By all means, keep inventing arguments to refute, though.

For the first time ever, he was asked to close a game in the 12 inning. He did that. Oh yeh, he then came out 40 minutes later to start his game, where he gave up only 3 runs in 7 innings on 6 hits.

You are calling that a pussy performance? There are starters that would fricking melt if you asked them to close a game, much less close a game 40 minutes before they start a new one.

Your problem is with what Mainieri asked him to do. My problem is him acting like a pussy in the third inning.

By the way 2.77 ERA was his season ERA, not the ERA for that game. So maybe check who you are calling a dumbass.

He then gave up only 1 over the other 6......

That offense has been overrated the further away we get from 2012.
